He is the sole survivor of the previous King’s Court, and although was skeptical of Mallory when she first took reign, he now loyally submits himself to her. Merlin is the soothsayer and prophet of Mallory, and is able to predict all dangers posed to her, and advise what threats are worth her attention, and which ones he may easily dispose of himself.
