Gyokusho - Jade Golem

Brought from Edrador with the cult in their flight from the east, the Gyokusho has seen battle before. It has faced armies, stood alone against hosts of men, and emerged unscathed. Each time, it fulfilled its purpose without hesitation, for that is all the Gyokusho knows. Its existence is tied to the survival of the cult; as long as they remain, so too will it. Unlike the flesh-and-blood followers of the Serpent, the Gyokusho does not tire, does not waver, and cannot be swayed by temptation or fear. Its loyalty is absolute, its power undeniable.

The Gyokusho does not know fear. It does not question its purpose. It is bound by ancient magic to protect the cult and its leaders, and now the sanctuary they’ve carved into the mountain ranges of Tharador’s southlands. Standing at the gates of their hidden refuge, the golem serves as both a deterrent and an enforcer. It waits, unmoving, until the moment comes to strike, and when it does, it does so with the force of a landslide. Armoured in jade, impervious to most weapons, the Gyokusho stands between its masters and any who would seek to defy them.

The mountain sanctuary that the Gyokusho guards is more than just a hideout—it is a fortress, a sacred place where the cult’s secrets are kept, and their dark rituals are performed. The Gyokusho’s presence ensures that none but the cult may pass through its gates. Those foolish enough to challenge it are met with unrelenting force, as the golem’s jade fists crush armor and bone alike. The Gyokusho does not relish in victory, for it knows no pleasure or pain; it knows only that its task is done, and it will remain until it is called upon again. Silent, patient, and eternally vigilant, the Gyokusho stands as the final line of defense for the Cult of the Coiled Serpent.
